Literature Text

A sticky,
glowing spindle
suspending
eight soft legs
on a body
just as luxurious.

Traveling to new
heights,
leaving behind
a world
so unforgiving and
cruel.

Their legs take them
to their dreams, and their
eight eyes see things
we could only ever
dream of.

What if we kill them
because they possess
the knowledge
we wish
we could embrace?
I wrote this when I was trying to write poems about things that most people find ugly and write about them in a way that makes them sound beautiful:iconpurplelaplz:

I don't find spiders ugly at all, but I know a lot of people that do, so I picked them as one of my muses:iconpizzalaplz:

I hope you guys enjoy this:iconbluelaplz:

I reminds me a bit of my old tarantula, Victor.
The language is beautiful and descriptive without forcing detail onto the reader. Instead it fuels the imagination to see the beauty of the spiders with their silk webs and gleaming eyes. It's beautiful.
I don't think spiders are ugly either :) Well, maybe brown recluse, but that's because if their bite XD
