Confliction and Addiction.
Everyday repeats.
Spend some bills,
take a few pills.
Fill up with doubt,
then pass out.
Then repeat.
I'm dammed to addiction.

"Hey, are you alright...?" Strong, comforting but sweet words.
"No," The other sobbed pitifully. Hot tears scalded cold, lonely cheeks.
A quick frown, before composure, "Then let me hold you."
"But you can't!" The voice would have been sharp, but it was muffled by tears.
"Why ever not?"
"Because they all say you can't!"
"Well, since when have we listened to them?" It was said softy, but profoundly. There was meaning behind the sentence.

ME AND SHAWN HAD BEEN friends since the first day of high school. It wasn't because we had a lot in common, but because we were different from everyone else. Even with the conformist school uniform we managed to stand out. It was as though we were standing in the shadows, while everyone else was in harsh sunlight.
The other kids thought we were weird, freaks. Every day we would endure kids poking fun at the way we looked. People would trip us in the corridors and kick us when we were down.
