The boy who said he'd never cry,
Fell in love with the girl who was going to die.
She'd had cancer for over two years,
And that's when the boy first shed his tears.
Their love was stronger than any before,
It's too bad that they couldn't have more.
They stayed together for as long as they could,
Though that idea probably wasn't good.
The young boy knew he shouldn't have stayed,
But he just wouldn't go away.
He cared about his love too much,
His pain was lifted by her comforting touch.
Then one night his beauty died,
And the broken boy sat down and cried.
He'd never been so upset in his life,
But he refused to turn to the knife.
He knew that things would one day get better,
He wrote his dead beauty the sweetest letter.
This just popped into my head one day out of nowhere, and I wrote it down:iconmariolaplz:

The first two lines popped into my head, and I was like "What the hell?". I thought it would make a good poem, and I built it from there:iconpurplelaplz:

I hope you guys like this:iconsoniclaplz:

structurally, i think the rhythm is quite strict (overall), and i like the couplet rhyme scheme
I really like the simplicity of the story, and how straight to the point it is, very literal, although i do think it's a bit of a cliche, i think its written really sweetly :D my favourite lines would be the first two, last two and
"He cared about his love too much,
His pain was lifted by her comforting touch"
nicely done!
