He stared at her from across the rotunda. She was laughing at a perverted joke one of her friends had made, and a bright smile had spread across her face. She turned and hugged one of her friends. She nearly fell to the ground laughing.

He was dying to ask her out. He knew that she liked him too, and if he asked her out, she'd say yes in a heartbeat. But he was too scared to say those six little words-will you go out with me.

He thought maybe he could get one of his friends to do it. But she didn't like his friends, she would never believe them. He could have one of her friends do it, but she would think they were just trying to screw with her head. If he tried, she would think that one of his friends dared him to do it just to see her cry. He didn't want to see her cry. He wanted to hold her every night and tell her how much he loves her. He wanted to hug her when she needed comforting and tell her she was beautiful, even when she felt her worst. But none of that was going to happen unless he got up the courage to ask her out.

He needed to find someone who could tell her for him. But it had to be someone she could trust. Someone she would believe. He thought for a minute , and came up with two people. They were two of her closest friends-Lynn Taylor and Serena Jeanette, who, luckily, were both in his first class. He had noticed that she could trust them, and they would never lie to her. He looked up at the clock. He had five minutes until he had to go to class. He was debating between which one to ask when he looked over and saw her looking back at him. She turned 13 different shades of red and looked away, clearly in a panic. He just laughed and looked back up at the clock. The bell was about to ring, and he had to decided which one to ask. He walked up the stairs, then stopped and looked down about halfway up. She was looking up at him again. They stared at each other for a minute. She then looked away quickly, realizing what had just happened. She grabbed her stuff and headed off to class, embarrassed. He laughed and continued off to class. He went into Mr. Anders's room and set his backpack on his desk. He turned around to see Serena come into the room, followed by Lynn. He walked over to Lynn, whose desk was on the other side of the room. He decided she was the one he was going to ask because she, Bailey (the girl he wanted to go out with) and him all had the same lunch.

"Hey Lynn," he said in his quiet voice. She turned around and gave him a brace-filled smile.

"Hey Colton," Lynn answered, "what goes on?" He glanced around the room nervously.

"I...I need you to do me a favor," Colton blushed, and the pink appeared even redder against his pale skin. Lynn seemed very confused.

"Why would you ask me for a favor?" she wondered, trying to figure out why he would even he talking to her in the first place.

"I....." Colton took a deep breath, "I need you to ask Bailey out for me." He turned redder. A wide smile spread across Lynn's face, and Serena came over, totally lost.

"Did I hear what I think I just heard?" Serena questioned. She seemed pretty surprised.

"If you heard that Colton wants to go out with Bailey, then yes, you heard what you thought you heard." Serena gave Colton a friendly smile. Colton turned as red as Lynn's Abbey Dawn shirt. The girls laughed.

"I'll ask her at lunch," Lynn said.

"Do it before lunch," Serena requested "I wanna see how happy she is when you tell her."

"I wanna be there too," Colton cut in.

"I see Bailey after second block when she's on her way to lunch, "Serena informed.

"Then it's settled," Lynn explained, "After second block, I'll get Colton and you get Bailey. We can meet outside the guidance office, then I'll deliver the big news." Mr. Anders came into the room and all the students sat down.

"Bailey is going to freak," Serena whispered to Colton, who was next to her. Colton smiled his big smile.

"Whoa, Bailey was right," Serena realized, "your smile really could light up the entire town." Colton didn't really hear anything she said. He was thinking about all the great times him and Bailey were going to have together.
This is part one of seven. the actual sections are longer, so i divided them up, so there is seven instead of three. I hope you like it :) this is the story that my friend becky said is "more romantic than romeo and juliet" but that's not until the ending

The dialogue is pretty realistic. Good work on that part. Would you mind a little constructive criticism? From one writer to another.
